Reports from ABC news explain Stephen and Terri Weaver from Stuttgart, Arkansas stopped by a local convenience store to buy some scratch off tickets on their way to cabin near Greers Ferry Lake. Little did they know both of them would be getting winning tickets.
Together for 35 years, Stephen and Terri never imagined they would be so lucky, and twice in the same weekend. Steven explains:
“When she handed it to me, I fell back in my chair and almost went into cardiac arrest again,” Stephen said of the second ticket. We jumped around, hollered, and screamed. It’s just not possible that it happened twice. The odds must be astronomical.”
Stephen adds on a previous win from a few months back:
“We were just ecstatic to get that,”
“Now we’re just blown away.”
Their first winning ticket was one Stephen purchased which was for $1 million dollars. The second winning lottery ticket was Terri’s for $50,000.
